Sketching in Sketchy Places by Deb Horner
5 Jan to 1 Feb, 2018
Fairbanks water-colorist Deb Horner is exhibiting new works from her recent trip to Antarctica. Her route followed that of famed explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton. The show will have land and seascapes, icebergs, snow-covered mountain ranges, and penguins!
She also gave a presentation: “Sketching in Sketchy Places,” about making art while sailing the southern oceans. From the icy deck of the Russian research ship, “Akademik Ioffe” to a beach with hundreds of southern elephant seals.
